"Neither are the plethora of married stallions I've had a fun afternoon, night or morning with. I can whisper just the right sweet nothings in their ears, and turn them into putty in my hooves. I'm just good like that." He pushed his glasses up as they walked. "Pray-tell, why bring that up? You're not eyeing him too are you?" "Well no...not necessarily...I mean he is kind of cute." Chiselle blushed a bit and then shook her head. "W-what I mean is, I've only met you a few times, and in the span of those few times, I've come to two conclusions. One, you are the biggest dork I've ever seen. Two, you are never going to get him into bed with you. He'd rather sleep with a cactus than you." "Yes, cause you're such a prize yourself, Little Ms. Rock Carver. I'm sure stallions are lining up to have a night with an ear pierced, dye haired, flannel clad mare who probably has pebbles stuck in her mane." He turned to face her, walking backwards as he did. "I could have our handsome doctor friend in the sheets before you could update your wardrobe."

"Number one, this is a classic look from the 1993th Summer Sun celebration, can't go wrong with a classic. Number two, I bet you I'd be in the warm embrace of the doctor's hooves before you could finish cleaning the dust out of your glasses."

He turned back around, scratching his head. "Which way did we come from again? I wasn't paying attention."

"I believe we are at the kitchen, as to how we'll get back. I think all we have to do is follow the trail in the dust. This place hadn't been properly cared for so long, there's a fine film of dust everywhere. However, back to our little...bet. Here's the wager that I'm willing to propose to you. The first pony to seduce the doctor, will get a fabulous romantic date paid for and chaperoned by the loser. The loser has to be the waiter, the butler, the cook, whatever the winner wants the loser to do. He'll also have to wear whatever the winner wants him to wear." Chiselle smriked as she looked at Page, "Deal?"

Just let it burn that much worse when I win." He smugly leaned against the wall. "Anyway, it's a deal."

"Deal, oh, and you may want to give me your measurements now, I have a darling little butler outfit that'd just look perfect on you." Chiselle walked into the kitchen and started rummaging through the cabinets and drawers until she collected her cookware. "I'll have to clean these off with a wet towel, but they'll do. I have water and I can use one of my carving towels." Chiselle happily trotted out of the kitchen with her cookware in tow by her magic.

"Heh. I like that one. She's got spunk. I haven't had a 'Bed them before you' challenge since my 17th birthday party...that was a fun party...what I remember of it, anyway."
He ruffled his mane slightly.
"Okay, I need a good pick-up line for a doctor. Maybe something about a stethoscope..."

Coin spoke aloud to those still in the study. "I think we should stay here and wait for them to return. Splitting up further would just create pointless shenanigans. We shout set up camp here and try to get comfortable."

We shout set up camp here and try to get comfortable." "Step one of that is firewood." Flux moved away from the window, letting the heavy curtains cover it again. "As much as I hate to say it, we might have to resort to burning furniture." He opened his pack and pulled out a small gas soldering torch, and carried it to one of the side tables where a candlestick stood. He lit the torch, then the candles, and put the torch out. "I suggest that we go to the next room or somewhere nearly as close by, and find some of the less valuable pieces."

"Before we start smashing hundred year-old furniture likely made by some of Equestria's best master craftsponies," Digitalis interjected, "perhaps we could search the cellar or the kitchen for a stockpile." He searched through his medicine chest for a box of matches and set off towards the kitchen, lighting lamps and candles along the way and blissfully unaware of what he was actually walking into. The mansion's creepy atmosphere seemed to get to him, and he started to sing a song his father taught him.
"I went to the black swamp Village, Where strange ponies live. I saw a scrawny old stallion, Who gave me a flask to drink.
He's tired and speakin' unusual, He sounded kinda scared. He said 'Listen to me carefully, Cuz. I'll tell you somethin' that I never tell..."

" I went to the cemetery where lies my dead wife and believe me the graves were opened and skulls and bones raised
" Chiselle soulfully sang as she came out of the dark in front of Digitalis. "And I thought I was the only fan of the swing band genre." Chiselle commented, smiling at Digitalis.

"My sister is a singer, and my father has a thing for dirges." He looked around the hall at the paintings of long-dead ponies, half in shadow, half illuminated by the flickering old lamps behind him. "All things considered, it felt appropriate. Tell me, Miss Chiselle, while you were in the kitchen, did you happen to come across a scuttle or two of coal, or a chest of firewood? Maybe in a small bedroom in the back?"

I was going to cook that meal that you told me about back at the shop." Chiselle looked around and pushed some strand of mane away from her face and behind her ear, "I never did thank you for rescuing me from the blizzard. You know, I brought enough of the material so that I can cook a meal for two. If you'd let me, I'd love to repay you by cooking the meal for you and me, and I'd be more than happy to share my wine with you." Chiselle blushed and gave a slight smile.
