"Well, I was making a joke about physically picking you up. However I do have a couple of pot pies at home, I could bring them by at lunch time and we can eat them together," Chiselle then had a look of determination and a slight smile, "and I won't take no for an answer." "Well, I suppose it behooves me to accept free stuff. And if I tried to stop you, you might do something inadvisable." "That's the spirit!" Chiselle replied moving right front hoof from one side of her body to the other in an upswing motion. "Just let me put these expensive chisels away, check my mail and I'll be back here with two hot and steamy pot pies." Chiselle walked to the doorway and then she turned her head around, "You look really sharp today Boss," she complimented with a wink from one of her eyes before trotting away.

Willow nodded, took a notepad, and wrote up a few notes. "In that case, I'll just move on. I probably ought to be getting back to see what my inventor friend is up to. I sure hope he's not breaking anything." Willow was a little disappointed that he turned down the tab. Sure, the collateral wasn't how bartenders normally operated, but she was essentially giving him a loan, and she needed some security on that loan. She wouldn't have been asking for his house or even his tools anyway--just a very nice piece of furniture would have done it. "Alright. Hope you come back another time."

"Alright. Hope you come back another time." He smiled. "Oh I very likely will be. If you need anything else from me, let me know." And with that, he returned to his shop.

As Flux entered the shop, Steel was dragging out a complicated and vaguely disquieting tangle of metal. The very sight of it inspired unease, and the magnesium-tungsten rods appeared to be welded to the cold-riveted frame (with a core of pure selenium) at angles that could not physically or mathematically exist.
"First one's done!" Steel called out happily. "Let's get it up on the roof!"

"I got water from a field of moonlit dew, a jar of captured first ray of sunshine of the morning and if worse comes to worst, I got a stake carved from a tree deep in the Everfree Forest. The only thing that can make me more prepared is the Element of Harmony themselves, too bad they vanished awhile back." Chiselle commented as her and Coin Counter made their way to Flux's shop. "Beside with you by my side, I feel like we can handle anything. Although I'm probably closer to Mulder and you're the aesthetically pleasing Scully."

"First one's done!" Steel called out happily. "Let's get it up on the roof!" Flux looked at the strange tangle just long enough to realize it made his eyes hurt. A quick glance around the shop showed his tools scattered around, and his assistant Scrap Iron in a corner, looking absolutely confused. "Scrap? I wasn't gone that long, how did he..." "Boss, I honestly have no clue. He came in here and started jumping around like he owned the place, and the next thing I knew, he had that... thing put together." Flux put a hoof to his head. "All those materials... This is going to cost us." He sighed and walked over to Steel. "That's some nonstandard geometry on that antenna. Mind telling me what we're working with here?"

"Huh?" Steel said. "...oh, the non-Euclidean geometry?" He waved a hoof behind the device. Through gaps in the metal, the room behind him was still visible through where his hoof should have been. "Just an improvement I threw in at the last moment. Figured it might be useful to broadcast the incantation not just through the three dimensions we understand, but through all of them. Belphegor exists outside of space and time, you know."

"Thank you," Chiselle replied with a nod. She stepped up to the door and gave it three knocks with her hoof.

"We're already here, so let's put one on your roof first. Your shop isn't directly underneath the Hyades cluster, is it?"

"Your shop isn't directly underneath the Hyades cluster, is it?" "WHY WOULD I KNOW THAT?!" She stepped up to the door and gave it three knocks with her hoof. "WHAT?!" Flux blinked, cleared his throat, and made his way to the door. "Sorry about that. Who is it? Oh. Hey Chiselle, Coin. What can I do for you?"
