"Coin here mentioned that you guys are in possession of a demon, and I would like to see this demon." "*groan* always with the demons anymore..." Flux hung his head and motioned them inside. "Don't ask me, Steel's the expert on demon possession." "Only by default," Steel said. "Seeing as I'm the only one around who possesses a demon." "*groan* always with the demons anymore..." Flux hung his head and motioned them inside. "Don't ask me, Steel's the expert on demon possession." Chiselle walked into the building, "So, What's up? What's going on? How you doing?" "What's up is this antenna, soon," Steel said. "It's made from the same stuff the Canterlot Laboratory of Orbital Physics uses to identify dead pulsars in deep space. It's also gonna help me keep a tighter leash on my demon. It shouldn't take too long to install. We can go see Belphegor after that if you want." Having found a ladder, he trotted outside, carrying the ladder and the antenna with impossible angles in his magic. "By the way, I think I need to install one on top of your home, too. And Coin's. And pretty much everypony I talk to on a regular basis, or at all."

Coin considered for a moment. "And what purpose, exactly, do these antennae serve?"

"They broadcast, of course," Steel said as he climbed the ladder. He carried the antenna in a telekinetic grip. "In this case, they're broadcasting an incantation in a long-extinct language that bends the will of a powerful demon to my control, so I can use him to operate a flying, black hole-powered superlaser to control the weather." He reached the roof and began to install the antenna in place. "Now is somepony going to help me get this thing set up before it develops consciousness?"

"Control the weather? Um, don't we already have a team of Pegasus ponies who already does that?" Chiselle asked as she studied the weird antenna.

"I mean, you could do it that way," Steel said. "But how long does it take to wrap up winter?"
The antenna began to reverberate. It was not a calming sound.
"What if you could change the seasons as quickly as you please, by evaporating it with a laser hotter than the surface of the sun?"
"...fff...fffffatherrrrr..." the antenna intoned.
"Quiet, you."

"OKAY!" Flux shouted! He wasn't looking well, and Scrap Iron, strong stallion though he was, had long since backed out of the shop. "What I need to know is what happens when we apply power to... that thing!" He looked at the antenna for as long as he could.

Steel screwed the antenna into place and plugged in a power cord. "It broadcasts a binding incantation that'll prevent Belphegor from acting against my will," he said. "With the coverage of several antennae, the signal should go all over town - and into the past and future and the nameless gulfs that undulate beneath time," he added.
Steel hit the power switch. There was a sound like the universe bleeding out. The sky turned an impossible color and the sun turned black.
Then the sun stared into their souls...
...and blinked...
And then everything went back to normal.
Steel brushed off his hooves. "That's one down," he said as he descended the ladder.

Steel brushed off his hooves. "That's one down," he said as he descended the ladder. "Steel? Buddy?" Flux did not enjoy the fireworks. "I want you to consider something that you might never have considered before. I know you CAN do this, but what I want you to think about is whether or not you SHOULD. I mean, the sun just winked at me. THE SUN!"

Chiselle blinked a few times and then rapidly shook her head. "I could've sworn I've been sober since that little trip into the jungle."

Willow Burr, now that the ice machine was working, decided to cool down some of her sample mojitos and Willow Burrs and take a few sips herself. She stared out the window in a bit of boredom, since she did not feel like working and the bar would not open for another couple of hours.
After downing three of her mojitos and one of her Willow Burrs, the sky suddenly turned a surreal red-green and the sun turned black, gained a face, and blinked. After everything went back to normal as abruptly as it went abnormal, Willow blinked back. "Huh. I didn't think I'd get drunk already..."
She then thought about that eccentric scientist at Flux's place, and his mention of a demon. She quickly realized that something was going on down there, and it could have grave implications for the safety of Equestria. She set aside her drinks, locked up her house, and made her way to Flux's place.
At Flux's place she saw a number of ponies standing near a ladder that led to a very eccentrically-designed antenna on the roof that was not there when she last came by. "Excuse me," she said. "Are you guys responsible for that...phenomena that just happened up in the sky? You know that you can't manipulate the weather or atmosphere without a license or working for somepony that does and at her direction."

Flux was sitting. Nowhere in particular, just on the ground. His eyes were closed, but he was certainly not asleep. In fact, he expected that he would not sleep again for some time. "My shop," he mumbled. "An eldritch horror was constructed in my shop." "Excuse me," she said. "Are you guys responsible for that...phenomena that just happened up in the sky? You know that you can't manipulate the weather or atmosphere without a license or working for somepony that does and at her direction." Flux's eyes shot open. "YOU!" He ran to Willow. "You are now the booze fairy! Make booze happen!"

"So, I gotta ask, if you need these um...antennas to control the demon and bind him to your will. What's currently controlling and binding the demon if not the antennas?"

The question caught Steel off-guard.
"Oh...well, nothing, I suppose," he said. "Belphegor's been pretty well-behaved, though. Hasn't caused any problems at all. Really helpful, too. In fact, it was his idea to put these antennas up everywhere." Steel trotted down the road, carrying several more of the devices in his magic. One of them moaned.
"Where to next?" Steel asked. "Your place, Chiselle?"

"Where to next?" Steel asked. "Your place, Chiselle?" Chiselle apprehensively bit her bottom lips, "Slow your roll there Dr. Strangelove, how much do you know about these antennas? Are there any side effects? Am I going to teleport to a desert other world? Also, why are you taking advice from a demon? I mean granted I'm not one that should judge, but shouldn't you be taking what a demon says with a grain of salt?"

Flux's eyes shot open. "YOU!" He ran to Willow. "You are now the booze fairy! Make booze happen!" Willow was a little surprised at the request, but then again, it seemed he really needed a drink. "Well, okay, I'll..." she started, and then saw Steel walk down the road with a few more antennae. "Just a moment," she said, and rushed back to the eccentric scientist. "Mister! Where do you think you're going with those antennas? Do they have anything to do with that odd red-green sky that just happened not too long ago?"
