Good god, is that real? It's real, isn't it? How did that get past an editor? Did they not even bother copy-editing after the first book so well? If I were her editor, I wouldn't even care that this effusion of excrement was so profitable that its fanfiction spawned a multi-million-dollar movie, with another in the works. That line would fucking go. She's the spectacularly wealthy authoress of a wildly successful book and movie franchise, and Brother Dearest screens any and all criticism she gets from fans, haters, and well-meaning literature-loving middle folk alike. It's been this way since the first book turned into an out-of-nowhere blockbuster and inspired her to expand the story into a series. If she even has an editor anymore, I assume it'd be more of a rubber stamp deal.

To be fair, the editor and publisher are probably making mad bank with her and the 50 Shades of Gray book, so they're less likely to rock the boat.
