Chiselle let out a soft chuckle, "I have no idea. I've spent the last couple of days racking my brain to come up with some inspiration, but I got nothing. I'm sure something will come sooner or later. Have you gotten your Spring stock in yet?" "Oh yes. Heads would roll if I did not. Even if I had to close the shop to go and roll the aforementioned heads myself." She thought for a moment. "Maybe a sculpture relating to nature or seasons?" Chiselle let out a little laugh, "Okay, I would pay to see you roll some heads. Hay, I would help if you needed it. As for a nature and season sculpture, I'll look into it, thank you for the suggestion." Chiselle paused to hang a few nest onto a few nearby trees. "You know, when we were in the jungle, one night we were telling stories and I forgot to tell one. Would you like to hear it?"

Steel Glint frowned. "A gizmo exploded in the woods? That doesn't really narrow it down." He ticked options off on a hoof. "Could have been my manticore repellent ray, my sylvan fae detector, my lumber spiders, my reciprocating - wait!" he exclaimed. "The de-winterizer!" He looked from pony to pony. "I still might be able to repair it! You've got to help me find it!" "Yeah. Cause I really want to help an insane pony I barely know, retrieve some clearly defective doodad from out in the woods." He pushed his glasses up. "Am I still needed here? He's not dead, and I have work to dodge."

"Note to self, never piss off Coin Counter," Chiselle playfully teased. Chiselle took a deep breath and let it out. 'Maybe what's going on with Coin is the same thing that went on with me. Maybe the story will help?'"Not so long ago in a town not so far away, there was this mare. She was kind out an outsider, always spending whatever free time she had in the art department or in her own home studio, her fashion sense were a bit more, eccentric than what it is now. She was content with life and kind of had big goals and big dreams. There was also another mare at the same school. She was from a well to do, old money, affluent family. Well one day the two mares met up and they began dating. Of course, what the first mare didn't realize was that the affluent mare was going through a rebellious stage and to be fair, the first mare did kind of look the part. They dated for awhile and they even ended up being um.." Chiselle blushed and cleared her throat, " intimate with one another. It was my...I mean this mare's first time too. The relationship kind of collapsed when the affluent mare grew out of her rebellious stage. It would have been okay had the relationship ended on mutual terms, but the affluent mare decided to make a spectacle of the break-up at prom. The fact that this came on the heels of a rejection letter from Canterlot Art School didn't exactly help the situation. So after high school, the mare kind of spent a few years globe trotting. It took her awhile to heal from the hurt and the pain, but she did heal and she'd like to think that she's a better pony because of it."

Page quickly regained his composure and took a step back, fighting back a faint tinge of red in his face. "That would be me. I dragged you here by that rope still tied around your left leg. Your body was limp, so it was a cinch." He smoothed his mane back. "I suppose if I'm the only pony who knows where it landed, I could assist you."

"I suppose if I'm the only pony who knows where it landed, I could assist you." "Oh no you don't," Flux said, stepping forward. "Page, I wouldn't trust you alone with a sack of flour." He turned to Steel Glint. "Excuse me, my name is Flux and I'm a local repair pony. If your machine is... broken, maybe I could give you a hand with it." "Besides," he added, shooting Page a look, "There are wild animals in the forest. You might need someone to cover your tail."

"I dragged your insane carcass here after your gizmo exploded in the woods." Fern hadn't said anything since extinguishing the burning invention with Page. He had always felt uncomfortable around unfamiliar ponies, and this many in one place put him on-edge. At the mention of his beloved woods, however... "Wait! The explosion might've started a fire!" Fern yelled, panic welling in his chest. Fern looked around as the ponies turned to stare at him. "I mean... I should probably have a look," he said, trailing off to a whisper. "It... is kinda... my job..."

One convenient timeskip into the woods later...
"Well, here it is."
Page had led his merry band to the crater the thing had made, pointing at the still smoking wreck inside.
"And there you go, tree boy. All your pretty sticks are still standing."
As if on cue, one tree tipped over and slammed into the ground behind them.
"...Most of your pretty sticks are fine."

"I wouldn't worry about a few dead trees," Steel Glint said as he trotted down into the crater. "I collaborated years ago with a zebra shaman on a serum to resurrect apple trees knocked down by storms. I call it the 'Tree-Animator.' I can have some shipped up if you want. Just don't get any on you. It does not like the equine skeleton."
The smoke was thicker at the bottom of the crater. "Still mostly intact...that's good." He climbed inside. "I can work with mostly intact. A few spurving bearings knocked out of place, I can probably hammer those back in...unilateral phase detractor needs to be re-aligned; I'll need a cardinal grammeter for that...pentametric fan is still running, but wobbly - "
A spinning disk of steel death rocketed out through the metal topside of the craft, cutting cleanly through several tree branches directly above it. The branches, thick as ponies' legs, fell into the crater and onto the craft, getting pine needles and tree sap everywhere. A moment later, the big five-bladed fan fell back to earth and embedded itself in the ground next to Flux.
"...pentametric fan is loose..."

"I have the oddest feeling that if we continue hanging around this lunatic, we'll all be amputees before the week is over."
Page wisely took a few steps away from the crater.
"Doctor Disaster here seems to be bad luck."

Steel Glint chuckled as he stepped out of the wrecked craft. "Oh, I'm not a doctor," he said. "Did you say something about needing an amputation? Sorry, I'm not very good at those. But I'm sure I could craft an artificial limb for you." He looked around at the other ponies. "Is there any kind of empty building nearby where I can bring this thing to work on it without freezing to death?"

"Is there any kind of empty building nearby where I can bring this thing to work on it without freezing to death?" Flux, having steadied himself after his brush with spinning death, pulled said death out of the ground and began looking it over. "It would appear that the emptiest place nearby is your head," he mumbled. With a tap, he knocked some mud loose of the fan before tossing it back into the crater. "If you need a place to work on this deathtrap, I have a workshop not too far from here. I set up in an old mineshaft just inside the woods where I put some of my larger projects. It should work for this." "There are a few conditions though. Number one, you work safely and make sure nothing explodes in my shop. Number two, no messing with any of the projects I already have out there. And Number three" he grinned. "I get to give this thing a good going over."

"Thank you for all your help Coin!" Chiselle shouted as she exited the Whispering Woods strapped to an empty cart. "Welp, now it's time for me to go and work on those Eagle's Nest, get those put up and my contribution to Winter Haven's Winter Wrap-Up will be completed. Hopefully the windows will be fixed and I can go back to sleep."
Chiselle happily trotted down the streets of Winter Haven while humming a tune.
