So, I've decided to give sketching, drawing another try. I've had this wacom tablet for awhile now, gotta do something with it. Thanks to r/sketchDaily, I'll actually have a subject to draw everyday. Now I drew this female elf last night, and yes I know it's crap, give me a break LOL. Her name is Nott, the Norse word for Night. Now today, I drew this hand using basic shapes to build the hand. The Shield Kite in the middle with stuff coming out from the top and side is part of a tattoo. You'll notice that my drawings will have a theme that runs along the line of fantasy, urban fantasy and my own ideas on what magic system I'd like to see in the fantasy genre. The tattoo is basically what the person's magical skill is. In this instance, the magical skill is magical shields.

When he showed these images to me, I offered critique. His direct quote was, "I'd like to see you do better." I'm not very good, but it gave me the motivation to start my drawings again. First take: And when that was garbage...: I gave up on the right side of her face, and just faked a long bang. Oh well.

So this is today's sketch. This is Winter, as in the personification of the season Winter. She is supposed to be a wild, nordic huntress who has a wolf for a hunting companion and uses a sword, bow and arrow and that is pretty much it in terms of weapons. She is very wild and unpredictable and she has a very harsh and frightening personality. Basically she's the wild woman trope.
