Aside from Fluttershy being a blithering idiot, good season premiere.

Very good episode, I enjoyed it very much. Why do you suppose the stallions all have one haircut, but the ladies get two or three?

Very good episode, I enjoyed it very much. Why do you suppose the stallions all have one haircut, but the ladies get two or three? I haven't noticed that before. Although to be fair, are men really that fussy with their hair? I usually just spend a couple of minutes on mine every morning and I'm set for the day. Hel, I spend more time on my mustache. I gotta say, the whole village gave me a George Orwell 1984 feel to it, especially the brain-washing hut.

Not usually, but considering how exact and particular everything is, Starlight must have compiled lists and rules regarding acceptable hairstyles; why not restrict hairstyles to one for stallions and one for mares? Saves the barber even more time and prevents the possibility that some mares might get to thinking that their style is in any way prettier or more practical or paradoxically more egalitarian than the others.

I wonder if they could send a band of griffon mercenaries after her. As eagle-eyed predators capable of flight, they would make decent trackers; they could probably live off small animals in the mountains; and they have no cutie marks to steal.

So, question, what kind of special talent is stealing cutie marks? That's kind of a messed up special talent in the world of MLP:FiM.

"Luna, remind me. If I needed to take legal action, what's my recourse?" "We are Princesses, Sister. We make the Law. We are above and beyond the Law. We prosecute, pardon, and bring to trial as Our senses of Justice and Mercy move Us." "What if the defendant would be Twilight Sparkle?" "... She is also a Princess, Sister. This is entirely unprecedented. Well, unless we can take Grandfather as a precedent, but-" (sigh) "Fine. Wake the Armorer and my pages and squires and bring me my sword."
