"Tanks For The Memories" was complete garbage. Shitty writing that makes Williams look skilled.

So I'm watching the episode right now. How the fuck can Rainbow Dash almost mess up the climate and ecological cycle of weather in Equestria and not get into some serious trouble?

Cause whoever wrote this episode is a hack.

Now that I'm done with the episode. Pretty okay episode, I swear Rainbow Dash has the most expressive face of the Mane Six. References to "Who's On First" and "GoT" was nice, although I liked the "Who's On First" reference a bit more since it's timeless. So Cloudsdale is a floating and moving city that doesn't stay in one area. That's some nice world building there. Applejack, teach me how to cry on the inside, please?
My main stickler for this episode is honestly the premise. I mean granted Rainbow Dash can be a bit immature and I guess this episode was touching on the futility of stopping the inevitable. However, Tank is just fucking hibernating you dingus! He's coming back in the Spring! I expect this kind of drama rama llama from Rarity or Fluttershy, but not Rainbow Dash. Hel, Applejack and Fluttershy were the most sensible ponies in this episode.

You'd think they'd have an entire agency or special type of court for something as vital as state-sanctioned weather patterns.

This show always had a problem with realistic consequences for ponies' actions. I don't know why I keep expecting them to start showing realistic consequences.

There are two explanations here.
1. The world is in danger about a dozen times a year, and it's always the same ponies who stop it. They are granted an unofficial form of diplomatic immunity as a reward, and to make sure they're always available in an emergency.
2. There's not a lot of room for industrial sabotage trials in a 22-minute episode.

There's not a lot of room for industrial sabotage trials in a 22-minute episode. In The Boast Busters, they show Snips and Snails cleaning up Ponyville after they brought an Ursa Minor to town, they could at least show Rainbow Dash fixing up the Weather Lab or whatever she wrecked in Cloudsdale.

What would you have cut to make room for that? Time has to be budgeted, after all.

What would you have cut to make room for that? Time has to be budgeted, after all. How about the shitty musical number? Or the overly long pity part bullshit. Or at least have her fucking mention she's gonna help fix things at the end. But no, none of that happened.

I liked the musical number. I thought it was the best of the season so far.
I liked the pony pity pile.
I suppose a few seconds could have been trimmed elsewhere to make room for a brief mention of helping to repair the factory or something.
